Broker's Comments
The Prout range of catamarans are well proven, cruising multihulls, with a seaworthy design, solid build and pleasing performance.
The Prout Quest is an ideal coastal cruising yacht, with spacious accommodation, ease of handling and shallow draft and in the right conditions capable of longer trips. Being a multihull, the boat is capable of passage speeds around 7-9 knots, depending on conditions and sails.
The Quest has plenty of accommodation, throughout the two hulls, with four cabins and a large saloon area. There is excellent standing headroom in the hulls, where the galley (starboard) and navigation station (port) are located. Three Cabins feature private berths and the fourth cabin provides a spacious, private heads.
The engine is sited outside of the accommodation and powers a steerable leg, giving these boats excellent manoeuvrability. The rig is straightforward and control lines can be led to the spacious and deep cockpit for extra ease and comfort. There is a good sized deck at the stern and a huge fore-deck, making sail handling and anchoring comfortable and an ideal platform for sunbathing and enjoying the views.
This version requires investment as it was purchased in need of some work and although this has been underway unfortunately, the owners' circumstances have changed and they are no longer able to complete the work.
