This Nordlund 38 is a carvel planked wood boat built by the well-regarded Tacoma builder. The hull has a nearly plum stem, bluff bow, rounded forefoot, long straight keel, broad transom and extended mahogany swimstep. An interesting feature in the run is the concave section over the propeller.

The deck is in three levels, low aft and side decks around the house and a boat deck over the house extending to the sheer and transom. To port in the transom is a door between the swimstep and aft deck. The aft deck is sheltered by the boat deck and enclosed with canvas and isinglass curtains. Forward on both sides are openings to the side decks. On the back of the house to port is a ladder up through the boat deck to access the flybridge controls.

There are davits and chocks on the aft starboard side of the boat deck but there is no dinghy.

Extensive work was done on the planking by the former owner. The hull was refastened and two additinoal stainless steel screws were added per plank, each frame.
