Broker's Comments

Once upon a time GB PLC had a plethora of boat builders and yards churning out good honest 'bomb proof' GRP cruisers and cruiser/racers such as the Mirage 28 and her ilk. They were regarded as capable and competent family yachts suitable for crossing channels and occasionally seeking out 'blue water'; whatever that might be! But, times change and such yachts are now regarded as cosy week enders, daysailers even, but the boats haven't changed, just the experience and expectations of the sailors buying them. I rather like the Mirage 28 but I'm from that 'old school' which doesn't expect 'hot showers and a vase of flowers' which boat show exhibitors deem essential items. This Mirage will sail, motor (esp to windward) and take the ground in the interesting places, be they harbours, mud berths or creeks and should look after her crew in a sea-way. What more would you like?
