Broker's Comments
Rustler 31 – Renowned Performance and Great Capability.
Rustler 31s are renowned for their sailing performance and cruising abilities, with a good turn of speed when required. Below decks, you'll find comfortable accommodation with generous headroom and a recently installed galley - ideal for extended cruising.
These yachts have an excellent reputation as capable, seaworthy vessels, known for their reliability and performance in a wide range of conditions.
This particular Rustler 31 is also fitted with a wind vane self-steering system - a fantastic addition to her inventory. It provides the skipper and crew with the ability to make extended passages with ease and is a great help for single-handed sailing.
She has been owned by her current owner for the past four years. They had ambitious plans for the boat, including an extensive maintenance program and repainting the top deck. Unfortunately, due to health reasons, they have reluctantly decided to put her up for sale.
She does require some TLC in places, including resticking of headlinings, and the deck would benefit from a fresh coat of paint. However, she appears to be in good overall condition for her age.
The engine hours stated have been calculated from the previous owner's records and the current owner logging his miles. The engine hour meter currently does not work.
At some point, a previous owner had the hull professionally stripped and epoxied as a preventative measure against osmosis, which is reassuring for any prospective buyer.
If you're looking for a safe, go-anywhere cruiser with a proven pedigree, this Rustler 31 should definitely be on your shortlist.
