Broker's Comments
Here we have a rare and very special 1928 Wooden gentleman's sport launch.
The recent 2024 survey advises she is likely a Chris Craft, however there is no substantiation of this and thus I have her listed just as a wooden launch. However, her workmanship is certainly in keeping with the surveyor's view.
She is a stunning classic wooden design mostly kept ashore and under her full cover on her road trailer, all of which is included in the sale.
She was fully serviced mid 2025 including anodes and underwater areas and has a full cover for storage and transport.
She is just breathtaking to look at with her highly varnished finish which has been religiously re done most years by her attentive owners of some 20 years now.
The engine is a superb 350 V8 so gives her exactly the correct propulsion and sound and this is immaculate and well fitted with fresh water closed cooling. She starts well and runs superbly as can be seen in the video.
She can seat 6 in comfort and 8 at a squeeze and will be stunning at end of any riverside property garden and jetty.
She has a current Boat safety certificate (expiry to be confirmed).
This is a stylish classic gentleman's launch package that are very hard to find.
