About Jessica De Jesus
I started working with Boatshed Antigua in September 2022.
What did you do before working with Boatshed?
I recently worked with a family run business in Antigua. Twist Wholesale Investment Supplies Trading Ltd, owns multiple departments within a conglomerate. I kept myself busy with the different roles and responsibilities as administrator, property manager, marketer and gym Manager.
What attracted you to become part of the Boatshed team?
I've been interested in boating for the past 2 years, which led me to become certified in the Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW). When this opportunity was presented to me I saw this as a way to contribute the similar experiences and skills I've gained over the years to contribute to Boatshed Antigua.
Are you a motorboater or a sailor?
Growing up on a strikingly beautiful island, I tended to stay more within motorboats since I would tend to go out with my friends for the day.
What is your most memorable boating experience?
My father and I would take fishing trips for years. I grew up fishing out at sea ever since I was a little girl. The thought of being out at sea was a very memorable and unique childhood memory. This was when boating/fishing became part of me and I have never strayed very far from the water ever since.
