This Nicols 1100 Confort is powered by a Nanni N4/38 diesel engine, a well-known and reliable unit for inland cruising. Delivering 33.12 kW, it provides smooth, economical propulsion—ideal for gentle canal navigation and effortless manoeuvring through locks. Access to the engine compartment is straightforward, making routine checks easy to perform.

The electrical system is equally reassuring, equipped with four batteries in total: three 100 Ah service batteries installed in April 2023, and a 95 Ah engine battery recently replaced in May 2025. This setup offers comfortable autonomy for everyday onboard systems, while the 220 V shore power connection ensures reliable energy supply when moored. The boat is also fitted with a 2000 W inverter providing 220 V while cruising, along with a solar panel that helps maintain battery charge during moorings and extended stops

Overall, the mechanical and electrical installations are simple, practical and perfectly suited to the easy-living philosophy of the Nicols range.

The overall impression is one of light, openness and easy circulation, making life on board both pleasant and practical.

At the bow, the forward cabin features a 150 x 190 cm double berth with a headroom of around 185 cm. The galley is fully equipped and perfectly suitable for extended stays aboard. It includes a 220-litre refrigerator with a generous freezer compartment, a two-burner gas hob, a gas oven, a stainless-steel sink and plenty of storage—ideal for preparing meals during longer cruises.

Broker's Comments

Thierry at Boatshed SudMed & MidiCanals is delighted to offer for sale this Nicols 1100 Confort, one of the most popular models from the well-known French builder Nicols. The “Confort” range has earned an excellent reputation for its generous interior volume, easy handling on inland waterways and practical layout perfectly suited to European canals.

This 1100 Confort features all the key strengths of the brand: a robust polyester hull, safe side decks, and a remarkably spacious interior for an 11-metre boat. The layout with three cabins, each with its own private bathroom, provides a level of comfort that is quite rare in this size category and makes it ideal for families or groups of friends while preserving privacy for everyone.

The bright saloon, the single-level living area and the aft terrace create a very pleasant space for life onboard. The galley is particularly well equipped, featuring a large sink, two-burner gas hob, gas oven, and a large refrigerator with a generous freezer compartment, perfect for extended cruising or living aboard.

The dual helm position - inside and outside - offers real versatility for all-weather navigation. With its shallow draft, economical engine and easy manoeuvrability, this Nicols 1100 Confort is perfectly suited for the Canal du Midi, French waterways and inland cruising across Europe.

Another major advantage: this model is very easy to transport by road. With a beam of around 3.40 m and a weight of approximately 5 tonnes, it falls within the standard range commonly handled by professional boat transporters. This makes relocation to Belgium, the Netherlands or any other cruising region straightforward.

A comfortable, spacious and economical river cruiser—perfect for first-time buyers or for those considering a rental project. A great opportunity within the canal/liveaboard category.
